After eight straight losses away from San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors have finally secured their first road win of the 2022-23 NBA campaign. However, it didn’t come easy.
After jumping out to a commanding lead in the first quarter, Golden State’s struggles on the road began to show. The Warriors’ offense went cold in the second quarter while they spoiled away an 18-point lead. However, the backcourt duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson came to the rescue.
Thompson put together a much-needed season-high performance with 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field with 10 made triples to go along with four boards and three assists in 36 minutes.
Along with hitting seven 3-pointers of his own, Curry recorded a double-double with 33 points and 15 assists. Curry added seven boards and three steals in 37 minutes.
In the fourth quarter, the Splash Brothers slammed the door on the young Rockets. The pair combined for 18 points in the final frame to secure their elusive road victory, 127-120.
After the Warriors’ snapped their road losing streak, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Sunday night.

Klay Thompson has raised his season-long 3-point percentage by four entire points tonight, from 33.6 to 37.6. The kind of regression to the mean game he, and the Warriors, have been waiting for.
