Trailing by nine points at the start of the fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, the Golden State Warriors looked like they were headed toward their sixth consecutive loss.
Yet, there were still 12 minutes in the final frame for Steph Curry.
The reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player continued his tear with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field in the fourth quarter alone. With 1:23 remaining in the game, Curry drilled a deep triple to break the tie and give the Warriors a three-point lead.
Andrew Wiggins added 13 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting with three clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors secure their comeback. Behind Curry and Wiggins, Golden State snapped their five-game losing streak with a win over the Kings, 116-113.
Curry finished the game with a season-high 47 points on 17-of-24 shooting from the field, with seven made triples to go along with eight assists and eight rebounds in 38 minutes.
Following Curry’s fiery performance to get Golden State back in the win column, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Monday night.

Warriors survive. Steph Curry scores 47 points on 17/24 shooting, dragging them to an escape W over the Kings. Five-game skid snapped. They're a shaky 4-7. Andrew Wiggins hit a couple big 3s late, but this was a whole lot of Curry without much help.

Man, where would the Warriors be tonight without 30.

Ty Jerome & Anthony Lamb played 28 combined minutes in a need-to-win-type game. If that continues to be necessary, something's pretty off about the roster construction.
The JMG DNP was curious. (Tin foil hat says Kerr pulled a Zen Master & sat the vet so Wiseman wasn't alone.)

Curry has made 53 3-pointers this season, the 2nd-most through a player's first 10 games of a season all-time.
He has the only season with more: 59 in 2018-19. https://t.co/CJcPS9RTr1

Steph Curry saved the night and four days of wacky Bay Area sports radio. Heck, it still may turn into a riot.
– Klay struggling defensively. Perimeter defense an issue.
– JP’s swag. Warriors can’t survive out west without his play from a season ago.
– the bench. Big yikes.
