Despite getting on track with a two-game winning streak, the Golden State Warriors’ road struggles continued on Sunday evening against the Sacramento Kings.
After beating the Kings in their first two meetings of the young 2022-23 season, Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox handed the Warriors their seventh consecutive road loss, 122-115. Through 13 games, the Warriors still haven’t recorded a win outside of San Francisco.
Sabonis registered a monster double-double with 26 points and 22 rebounds in 34 minutes. As the Warriors and Kings traded buckets late, De’Aaron Fox hit a clutch 3-pointer to give the Kings a lead with under three minutes remaining and then followed with another bucket to extend Sacramento’s advantage. Outside of a triple from Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors’ offense went cold down the final stretch to punch the loss.
Curry led the way with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field with six boards and four assists. Wiggins added 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the floor, but it wasn’t enough to solve the Warriors’ issues on the road.
Following their seventh road loss of the season, the NBA community on Twitter weighed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying Sunday night.

The Warriors are 0-7 on the road. Just lost 122-115 in Sacramento. They turned it over 18 times, struggled to keep Sabonis (22 rebounds) off the glass, couldn't guard Fox in crunch time and gave up 16 3s. Bench rotation answers still eluding Kerr. Warriors are 5-8.

Warriors fall 122-115 to the Kings at Sacramento. Golden State is now 0-7 on the road.
Domantas Sabonis finishes with 26 points, 22 rebounds and eight assists — his second 25-point, 20-rebound, five-assist game in Sac. No other King has done that over the last 20 years.

Warriors fall to the Kings in Sacramento 122-115. They let off the gas numerous times tonight against this young, surging Kings team. Mike Brown's squad made them pay.
The record is 5-8. Golden State will face the Spurs tomorrow night at Chase Center.

This is the first time the Warriors have started 0-7 on the road since 1989-90 (started 0-9 that season). They’re the first defending champion to lose seven straight road games at any point in a season since the Dallas Mavericks in 2011-12 h/t @ESPNStatsInfo

The Warriors can’t sustain on Curry needing to score 35 plus a night to win. I don’t think there is a magical rotation that will fix this; it is simply more players needing to perform at a higher level consistently.
