NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors falling to Celtics despite 29 points from Jordan Poole

With Draymond Green back in the rotation and a four-game winning streak on the books, things seemed to be clicking for the Golden State Warriors heading into Wednesday’s contest against the Boston Celtics at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

However, that buzz came to a halt before halftime. In the second quarter, Steph Curry appeared to suffer an injury while scrambling for a loose ball with Boston’s Marcus Smart.

Curry exited the game and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest with left foot soreness.

Without Curry, Jordan Poole stepped up. For the fifth straight contest, Poole tallied over 20 points with 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the field and six triples from beyond the arc. Poole added three assists, two rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes.

Despite Poole’s explosive performance in the second half, the rest of the Warriors’ offense struggled against Boston’s stingy defense. Klay Thompson was the only other member of the Warriors to register double-figures in scoring with 18 points.

Without Curry, the Warriors dropped a lopsided loss to the Celtics, 110-88.

Following Golden State’s loss to Boston, the NBA Twitter community chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Wednesday night.
