Following back-to-back losses, the Golden State Warriors looked like they were headed towards another mark in the loss column after they fell to a 15-point deficit to the Washington Wizards in the second quarter.
However, the Warriors appeared to wake up in the second quarter behind Klay Thompson. The four-time champ tallied 13 points in the second quarter as the Warriors outscored the Wizards 42-27 to get back into the game and take the lead before halftime.
Once the Warriors grabbed the lead, they never looked back. Andrew Wiggins tallied a team-high 29 points on 12-of-22 shooting from the field with seven boards and four assists. Monday marked Wiggins’ third highest scoring performance of the season.
Both Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal notched over 30 points, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Warriors at Chase Center.
JaMychal Green provided a spark off the bench, scoring 14 points on a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. Donte DiVincenzo added 17 points off the bench on the way to Golden State’s 135-126 win over Washington.
Following the Warriors impressive comeback win over the Wizards, the NBA community on Twitter responded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Monday night.

Most productive Andrew Wiggins night since his return: 29 points on 12/22 FG, seven rebounds, four assists. Warriors beat the Wizards at home. Record: 29-28. They face the Clippers in LA tomorrow night. Last game before the All-Star break.

This is the FIRST time Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins have both scored 25+ points in the same game (as teammates).
We've seen combos of Steph-Klay, Steph-JP, Steph-Wiggs, Klay-JP, JP-Wiggs each score 25 apiece at one point. But this is a first. pic.twitter.com/5fnqrFXTWI

this is one of the best regular season games Andrew Wiggins has played as a Golden State Warrior!
especially when you consider the context: Injured ankle, must-win, Steph out, been struggling.
29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, zero turnovers, +21
and the win!!
thanks, Wiggs! pic.twitter.com/odp8gDffvr

Wiggins was tremendous. They need him to be close to that level consistently. Looney, as usual, super steady. Those two won this game.

Warriors are kinda different when Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins are on point. After 2 subpar games, they combined for 31 pts on 50pct shooting in first half. GSW 71, Wizards 66.
