NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ comeback win vs. Mavs in Game 2

All signs pointed towards the Dallas Mavericks evening the series against the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals with a commanding win on Friday night.

Behind a barrage of 3-pointers from Luka Doncic, Reggie Bullock and Jalen Brunson, the Mavericks stormed to a 14-point lead over the Warriors at halftime. However, no lead is safe with Golden State’s arsenal of offensive firepower.

Kevon Looney helped spark Golden State’s comeback with 11 points and five rebounds in the third quarter to cut into the Dallas lead. While the Warriors heated up on offense, their defense limited the Mavericks to only 13 points in the third quarter.

With the Mavericks clinging to only a two-point lead in the fourth quarter, Steph Curry and Jordan Poole took over. The Warriors’ backcourt duo combined for 22 points in the fourth quarter to complete a roaring comeback, 126-117.

Curry led the Warriors with 32 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the floor with six triples, eight rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes. Looney added a double-double with 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting with 12 boards in 32 minutes.
