After dropping Game 3 due to a dominant fourth quarter by the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors needed a response in Game 4 to even the series at 2-2 before heading back to the Bay Area.
The Warriors and Celtics traded clutch buckets throughout the contest in a classic thriller. After the Celtics battled their way to a five-point advantage at halftime, the Warriors’ put together a signature third quarter to steal a one-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes of the contest.
In a fourth-quarter filled with big shot after big shot, Steph Curry had the final say. The All-Star guard scored 10 of his game-high 43 points in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors secure a dramatic 107-97 victory in Game 4 on Friday night in Boston.
Curry’s 43 points came on 14-of-26 with seven 3-pointers, 10 rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes. Curry’s final triple came with just under two minutes remaining to stretch the Warriors’ lead to six points.
Andrew Wiggins added a double-double with 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. Along with what he added on the offensive side of the floor, Wiggins drew the assignment of guarding Jayson Tatum on defense. Tatum led the Celtics with 23 points on 8-of-23 shooting from the floor.
