NBA Twitter reacts to Steph Curry missing game-tying shot in final seconds vs. Nuggets

For the third time in the Golden State Warriors’ early stretch of season, one of their games came down to the final seconds. With two game-winners already under their belt, the Warriors had the chance to tie the game with time running down against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday evening.

After a back and forth heavyweight fight to close out their road trip, the Warriors found themselves down two points following a pair of missed free throws from Nikola Jokic. Despite getting a good look at game-tying shot, Steph Curry’s layup didn’t fall through the bucket, sealing the thrilling contest in favor of the defending champion Nuggets.

Klay Thompson had the chance for a late long-distance shot to tie the game as well, but the ball appeared to slip out of his hands before he could hoist up one last heave.

With a loss to the Nuggets without Draymond Green and Gary Payton II, the Warriors’ road trip ended 2-2. Curry lead the Warriors with 23 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field with six made triples. Curry added five rebounds and four assists.

After Curry and Thompson missed game-tying shots in a loss to the Nuggets, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying after the buzzer on Wednesday evening.
