NBA Twitter reacts to shorthanded Warriors thrilling comeback win vs. Spurs

For the second leg of a road back-to-back, the Golden State Warriors were without multiple players, including Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica.

Although the Warriors only had players like Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney and Damion Lee to lean on, Tuesday’s contest against the San Antonio Spurs quickly turned into a thriller.

Despite gritty performances from Jordan Poole and Moses Moody, the Warriors fell behind by as many as 17 points against the Spurs. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Spurs held a 15 point advantage over the shorthanded Warriors.

However, the Warriors weren’t done in San Antonio.

As the Spurs went cold, the Warriors surged to a comeback behind Jonathan Kuminga, Damion Lee, Moody and Poole. Kuminga notched 14 of his 19 total points in the fourth quarter alone to set the Warriors up for a comeback.

Trailing by one point with 40 seconds remaining, Poole missed a 3-pointer that would’ve given Golden State a lead. Yet, a tough offensive board from Moody gave Poole another chance. On his second attempt, Poole drilled the go-ahead 3-pointer to complete the Warriors surprise comeback over the Spurs, 124-120.

After the Warriors sealed their seventh consecutive victory with a thrilling comeback in a battle over the Spurs, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Tuesday night.
