Just when it looked like the Los Angeles Lakers were about to lose their fifth consecutive game on Saturday, LeBron James happened.
He erupted for 56 points as L.A. rallied from a 14-point deficit to outlast Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, 124-116, before a happy contingent at Crypto.com Arena.
It was James’ highest scoring output with the Purple and Gold, and he also tied Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young for the highest-scoring game by an individual in the NBA this season.
It was, quite simply, the four-time MVP’s best game as a Laker, at least so far.
The NBA’s Twitter community gave James plenty of love and props for his vintage performance.
