There is just something about a matchup against the Sacramento Kings that brings the best out in Klay Thompson.
While he didn’t drop 37 points in one quarter, the Golden State Warriors shooting guard did heat up from beyond the arc against the Kings on Thursday at Chase Center.
Thompson matched his season-high with 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor with seven triples. Thompson’s seven red-hot 3-pointers are the most jumpers he’s hit from deep since making his long-awaited return from injury.
The 31-year-old started the game on fire, drilling six of his 3-pointers in the first half. Thompson put an exclamation mark on his performance when he added another 3-pointer in the second half on a fastbreak pull-up with a defender in his face.

Klay must have been in an absolute zone to take a contested 3 on a fastbreak. With Steph Curry wide open.
