After the Minnesota Timberwolves carried a nine-point lead into the fourth quarter, it looked like the Golden State Warriors were headed toward a home loss. However, Klay Thompson and Donte DiVincenzo weren’t ready to close the book before the fourth quarter on Sunday night.
Without Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green, the duo of Thompson and DiVincenzo sparked a late fourth-quarter run for the Warriors. In the final frame, Divincenzo tallied 10 points while Thompson added eight to steal a comeback by outscoring the Timberwolves 31-17 in the fourth quarter.
After DiVincenzo buried a triple to give the Warriors the lead with 3:02 remaining, Thompson followed with a 3-pointer of his own to give the Warriors a commanding six-point advantage with two minutes left on the clock. Following clutch jumpers from Anthony Lamb, Thompson and DiVincenzo, the Warriors secured their second straight win, 109-104.
Thompson led the game with 32 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field with six made triples, five boards and four assists in 33 minutes. DiVincenzo added 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor with eight rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes.
Kevon Looney helped the Warriors on the glass with a double-double performance. Looney notched 12 points to go along with a game-high 17 rebounds in 32 minutes.
Following Golden State’s comeback win over Minnesota, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Sunday night.

The Warriors have been on the wrong end of games like that too many times this season, that was refreshing

Post ACL tear. Post Achilles tear. Third game in four nights. An absolute legend. https://t.co/LRprtL2Zcx

The way Donte DiVincenzo swats the ball in mid-air to save the possession for the Warriors 😱 pic.twitter.com/grTOG9SrtG

Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney put the Warriors on their backs and Donte DiVincenzo stepped up in a big way. The only disappointment for me was Jordan Poole – had a couple of nice steals but he's gotta shoot better than 25% FG & 12.5% three. #dubnation

The Warriors don't win this game without Donte DiVincenzo. Just feel like that needed to be said. #dubnation

Donte DiVincenzo (21/8/5) is a hell of a player. Klay Thompson (32 points) remains the man without Steph. Dubs get much needed 109-104 win after trailing by nine entering fourth quarter.

The Warriors beat the Timberwolves 109-104. Once again, Klay Thompson was huge: 32 points on 12-of-23 shooting, six 3-pointers.
Golden State now has a half-game advantage over Utah in standings for seventh place and trail Dallas in sixth by just a half-game.

Regression to the mean for Minnesota. After starting 7-for-9 they went 10-for-36. Wolves went 3-for-13 from deep in the fourth quarter. https://t.co/kt16i0m4ah

Bumpy path, but Klay Thompson has delivered two of his biggest performances of the season at a must-have time. Warriors beat the Rockets and Timberwolves without Curry/Wiggins/Draymond. Klay goes for 42 and 32 points. Warriors climb back to 31-30 and inch into the #7 seed.

My goodness slash yuck slash phew.

Golden State is now 3-17 when allowing 15 or more made threes.
Last time the Warriors won a game giving up at least 15 made 3s was at Chase on Dec. 28 against Utah.

Nobody throws the ball away like the Warriors protecting a late lead. After I praised Lamb, too.
