When the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls at home on Sunday, 118-108, Anthony Davis played well beneath his standards. He took only eight shots and scored 15 points, which led to the usual criticism he deals with from a sizable contingent of fans.
On Wednesday, the Lakers went on the road for a rematch with the Bulls, which meant a return for Davis to his hometown of Chicago.
He celebrated his homecoming by pacing his team with 38 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots as it won convincingly, 121-110.
Fans on Twitter gave Davis plenty of credit for his latest dominant performance.
