NBA Trade Deadline Tracker: Every trade that happened leading up to the 2024 trade deadline

The NBA trade deadline never lacks when it comes to the drama and intrigue surrounding it. There are always big names churning through the rumor mill — some truly in danger of being moved, others just being thrown out as smokescreens.

We’re mostly seeing the latter so far this year for the trade deadline.

There are lots of names being discussed so far as we inch closer and closer to the end here, but there doesn’t seem to be much action surrounding any of them.

With that being said, though, some teams have already made moves to improve their team on the fringes. Some teams have also already made some pretty splashy moves — they just took action a while ago.

With that in mind, here’s a running tracker for every trade we’ve seen so far ahead of the deadline. Come back here as the trades continue to flow in for a quick rundown.

James Harden to the Clippers

The Clippers made their move for James Harden earlier this season and are now the No. 1 seed in the West.

OG Anunoby to the Knicks

The Knicks are looking like one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference since the OG Anunoby trade. Giving up Isaiah Quickley and RJ Barrett had to hurt, but it seems like it was worth it.

Pascal Siakam goes to Indiana

The Pacers traded for Pascal Siakam to give themselves more of a defensive presence in the frontcourt. The team hasn’t quick gelled just yet but with Haliburton back and healthy things are looking up.

Marvin Bagley to the Wizards

Marvin Bagley went from one terrible team to another. But at least he’s playing a lot better with the Wizards these days.

The Heat trade for Terry Rozier

The Miami Heat finally have a point guard. Terry Rozier isn’t Damian Lillard, obviously, but the Heat are hoping he gives the team the scoring punch it’s been lacking this season. That’s why Miami was willing to part ways with a first-round pick for him.

Steven Adams to the Rockets

This is a next season move for both the Rockets and the Grizzlies. Houston was looking for someone to fill that backup role behind Alperen Sengun. Memphis just needed to dump some salary and start fresh.

It’s an inconsequential win-win here.

Simone Fontecchio to the Pistons

The Pistons sent a second-round pick to the Utah Jazz for sharpshooter Simone Fontecchio. This is a play for next season in Detroit. The Pistons are hoping to keep him for the long-term.

Xavier Tillman to the Pistons

Xavier Tillman is going to the Celtics for a couple of second-round picks to sure up that big rotation behind Kristaps Porzingis. He’s not much of a threat offensively, but he’s a solid defender and has proven his mettle in the playoffs.

The Timberwolves pick up Monte Morris

The Timberwolves very clearly need more depth at point guard. While Mike Conley is still a very solid player, the Wolves need some more offensive pop. Minnesota is hoping Morris may be able to bring that.

Buddy Hield goes to the 76ers

The Sixers get an elite shooter, while the Pacers get something for the player who they could have lost for nothing this summer. A solid move for the East contenders.

Kelly Olynyk is off to the Raptors

A bit of a confusing trade — are the Raps rebuilding or getting help with the Canadian center? And the Jazz are getting a first-rounder out of it. A weird one!

Gordon Hayward is going to Oklahoma City

The Thunder finally have an adult in the room. Gordon Hayward is headed to Oklahoma City for Tre Mann and Davis Bertans. The Thunder were interested in Hayward and had the means to get him instead of allowing him to hit the buyout market. He’ll be a key player in OKC’s rotation for the playoffs.

Danuel House is headed to the Pistons

The 76ers moved Danuel House to clear up a bit of cap space for any potential buyouts down the line. The Pistons also get a proven wing here. A small win-win for both sides.

The Knicks get Bogie

Bojan Bogdanovic is headed to New York in a package from Detroit along with Alec Burks. In exchange, the Pistons get Quentin Grimes, Ryan Acridiacano, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn and two second-round picks.

Daniel Gafford is heading to the Mavericks

The Wizards are trading Daniel Gafford to the Mavs for Richaun Holmes and draft compensation. It’s unclear what the picks are at this point, but the Mavs finally have their backup center.

The Raptors get Spencer Dinwiddie

Spencer Dinwiddie is on his way to Toronto in exchange for Dennis Schroder. The Raptors continue to play musical chairs with the point guard position here.

The Mavericks get P.J. Washington

P.J. Washington is headed to Dallas to play with Luka Doncic in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry and a top-two protected first-round pick from the Mavericks.

The Suns get Royce O'Neale

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

As part of a three-team trade involving the Nets and the Grizzlies, the Suns acquired Royce O’Neale (from Brooklyn) and David Roddy (from Memphis) to improve their depth.

Patrick Beverley is headed to the Bucks

Patrick Beverley is being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks to help with the team’s defense at the point of attack.

Marcus Morris is being redirected to the Spurs

Marcus Morris is reportedly being sent from the Pacers to the Spurs for cash and Doug McDermott, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports.

Robin Lopez is hitting free agency

The Bucks are trading Robin Lopez to the Kings where he’s expected to be waived and hit the free agency market.

The 76ers are moving Jaden Springer

The 76ers are moving Jaden Springer to the Celtics, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports, for a second-round pick. Philly gets another roster spot to play with in the buyout market.

Dalano Banton is headed to Portland

The Trail Blazers are sending a heavily protected second-round pick to Boston for Dalano Banton, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The Warriors are trading Cory Joseph

Cory Joseph is headed to the Indiana Pacers for cash considerations, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports.
