Mikel Arteta has gained the seal of approval for his process succeeding at Arsenal from the man who created the phrase “trust the process”.
NBA star Joel Embiid was estatic after Arsenal’s dramatic victory over Wolvers on Thursday evening, which saw the Gunners score a last-minute goal through Alexandre Lacazette.
The win gave the north London side a massive boost in the push for a Champions League place ahead of next season, as Wolves’ chances have been seriously dented.
Arteta certainly deserves credit for the important victory and the praise from Embiid highlights the promising direction the Spaniard is sending the club.
Embiid tweeted out “GUNNERS” in celebration after Lacazette’s last-gasp winner, which has a deeper meaning then a simple celebration.

The Philidelphia 76ers’ star was the player who started the “trust the process” phase when his side finished as one of the lowest-ranked NBA teams, to building a side that became one of the favourites for the NBA championship.
Arteta has had to follow on the same path in getting Arsenal back to their glory days, after a very disappointing last half-decade.
Stan Kroenke succeeded recently with his LA Rams side lifting the super bowl, and is now hoping to achieve the same success wth Arsenal and has trusted Mikel Arteta to lead the way
The Gunners haven’t seen Champions League football at the Emirates since 2017, and every year that passes by, it seems that Arsenal looks further away from being able to qualify.
After back-to-back eighth places finishes in the league this season it seemed as though a disappointing league finish would be repeated this season, as Arsenal started the season terribly by losing the opening three Premier League matches, conceding nine goals, and not scoring a single goal in the process. This left the club slumped to the bottom of the table.
However, Arteta took the club in a completely different direction, and instead of trying to achieve the initial target which was a top-six finish, the Gunners are now hot favourites for a place in the Champions Lague.
This is proof of the process succeeding and Arteta is spearheading bringing Arsenal back to the days under Arsene Wenger when qualifying for the Champions League was automatic.
Embiid’s admiration for the north London side is a big pointer to the success Arteta is experiencing with Arsenal currently, and long may it continue.
