NBA Star Duo ‘On Board’ With James Harden Joining Team, per Report

The 76ers have a big decision looming with guard James Harden, specifically in what they’ll agree to in an expected trade for the 10-time All-Star. While the debate over whether Philly should trade Harden rages on, the decision to do so has reportedly already been agreed to, as The Athletic's Shams Charania first reported.

The Clippers were among the first teams to emerge as a likely landing spot for Harden via trade, and there appears to be at least a chance the NBA’s next ‘big three’ will be in Los Angeles.

As The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported, current Clippers star duo Kawhi Leonard and Paul George “are said to be on board with the idea of Harden potentially joining their core, according to sources.”

Harden’s fit with Leonard and George would be an interesting one. On the surface, it could make even more sense than the short-term trio put together by the Nets of Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Harden averaged 21 points, 10.7 assists, 6.1 rebounds and shot 44.1% from the field last season for the Sixers. A three-point percentage of 38.5% was his best since he shot 39% from beyond the arc in 2011–12.
