NBA superstar Damian Lillard has been told he knows nothing about boxing after saying that Amanda Serrano beat Katie Taylor in their epic Madison Square Garden bout.
Taylor and Serrano squared off in an all-time classic in April last year. After 10 rounds of action, the Irish star won via split decision to remain the undisputed lightweight champion of the world.
At the time, Serrano accepted the result but has since suggested that she feels she won the fight. Lillard clearly agrees with this sentiment and made his feelings on the matter clear on social media.

"Amanda Serrano beat Katie Taylor. Respectfully," said Lillard on Twitter late last night.
Serrano replied to Lillard's post with a raised hands and love heart emoji, indicating that she agrees with the Basketball star.
Others however took Lillard to task for his opinion.
"Your still one of my favourite ballers but this ain't it" wrote Jordan.
While Wade said, "Too much bias in boxing nowadays. People need to start being honest. Taylor won regardless of who you like, or where you come from."
Perhaps the most scathing criticism came from Irish boxer Caoimhín Agyarko who said, "This guy don't know boxing."
The Taylor/Serrano fight from last year was one of the closest fights of all time. However, most agree that Taylor did just enough to edge the fight.
Regardless, a rematch between the two in 2023 seems extremely likely. Serrano has her next fight lined up, although a late 2023 Croke Park showdown is in the offing.
