NBA prodigy Victor Wembanyama goes viral AGAIN after dunking off own rebound

Victor Wembanyama produced another piece of basketball magic ahead of his NBA Draft selection as he rebounded his own three-point attempt to sink a stunning dunk.

The Metropolitans 92 giant is the biggest Draft prospect since LeBron James back in 2003, and whoever is eligible to select Wembanyama following the NBA Draft Lottery will really be winning the jackpot. The 7ft4ins 19-year-old has seen his clips go viral for years, but his latest stunt has stunned NBA fans.

Wembanyama attempted the three-point shot and could already tell that his shot might now make it, so instantly followed up to the rim in order to secure points. Wembanyama reacted before anyone else, and a clip of the moment has been seen by millions of viewers.

His effort was shared to the NBA's official Twitter account, while even Los Angeles Clippers star Nicolas Batum couldn't help but share the clip. Following up to tip in your own effort is tough enough as it is, but doing so from three-point territory is as rare as it gets.

Wembanyama is expected to be the top Draft pick in 2023, with June 22 becoming a potentially ground-breaking day for the NBA. Fans are predicting the Frenchman to be the best player since James, and the youngster has a clear goal in mind.

Since James, the likes of Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Zion Williamson and Anthony Edwards have all been selected first overall, but the level of attention Wembanyama is receiving hasn't been seen for two decades. Wembanyama could become the first French player to be picked first in NBA history, but he wants to be different to every other top prospect too.

"My goal is to be like something you’ve never seen," Wembanyama said in an interview with Associated Press. "I’ve always tried to do (something) different. I’m not even talking about sports, whatever.

"Any field, I’m always trying to be original, something original, something one of one, something that’s never been done before. And this is really how it worked in my life. I don’t know where it comes from. I think I was born with it. I’ve always been trying to be original. Unique, that’s the word."

The 19-year-old also thinks that he was destined to play in the NBA, stating he's not even surprised about the position he's in. "I was built for this, I guess," Wembanyama added.

"All of what happens to me, I expected for myself. So it’s just a checklist of expectations. I’m not surprised by what’s happening to me. And yeah, this is happening, this is how I can manage it and I think I managed it well."
