With the play-in tournament winding down and the start of the official postseason nearing, full schedules are being released for the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
Following a trio of wins to close the season, the stage is set for a Northern California rivalry series between the No. 3 seed Sacramento Kings and No. 6 seed Golden State Warriors.
After five days off to prepare, the Warriors will start their defense as champs in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday evening in Sacramento against the Kings at Golden 1 Center.
Along with marking the start of the Warriors’ title defense, Saturday’s game will be the first playoff game in Sacramento since 2006 and the first playoff game in the history of Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.
