When deals come together in the NBA, they move fast.
Late Thursday night, the Phoenix Suns pulled off a massive trade for superstar Kevin Durant, whose days with the Brooklyn Nets seemed numbered after Kyrie Irving’s departure.
Durant will join Devin Booker and Chris Paul in Phoenix on one of the West’s recent best teams. Phoenix came short of the NBA title two years ago, then had a disappointing second-round result against the Mavericks last year.
With Durant in the fold, the Suns might finally have their trump card to get over the hump and capture that elusive championship.
