NBA player props: 1 bet for each of Tuesday’s games, including Donovan Mitchell’s points against Utah

Welcome to Bet For The Win’s Nightly NBA Player Props. Throughout the 2022-23 season, we look at some of the night’s biggest games and come up with bets to make as we predict how players might perform.

It’s simple — if we like where the player’s line is set, we take the over, otherwise, we take the under.

Tuesday’s NBA slate features seven games that all bring an element of entertainment. We’ve found a bet out there for each game to make the slate even more fun.

Here are our favorites and ones that might put some additional money in your pocket.

All odds via BetMGM.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Detroit Pistons

(Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports)

The Sixers and Pistons played one another two days ago, so this Tuesday’s matchup is them running it back for Part 2.

The bet to make is James Harden over 10.5 assists. With Joel Embiid out of the lineup for this past Sunday’s Detroit-Philly matchup, Harden still managed to dish out 11 dimes. Embiid is listed as questionable to play Tuesday, but if he does play, Harden’s assist total can go even higher. If the dynamic big man doesn’t make it back, Harden’s floor for total assists should still be over 10.5.

Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Unless BetMGM knows something we don’t, it’s hard to imagine Gabe Vincent scoring more than 13.5 points, which is the over/under the sportsbook has set for him this Tuesday. He hasn’t hit that mark since the middle of November, so I’ll lean no as far as him getting to that number against OKC on Tuesday.

Toronto Raptors vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Raptors have been disappointing this season and Fred VanVleet hasn’t performed up to the standard he’s set in recent years. But he is playing better as of late, and even if he isn’t all that efficient, he will take a bunch of threes (potentially double-digits). For that reason, I can’t pass up the opportunity to bet on his 2.5-threes player prop. That’s too low.

Utah Jazz vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

(Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports)

It’s hard to imagine someone who recently scored 71 points (!) not being able to reach 30 on a given night. Factor in that Donovan Mitchell is back in Utah for the first time, where he led a bunch of playoff teams, and you should feel confident in him sticking it to his old team on the rims he knows so well.

Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns

Remember last season when the Warriors vs. Suns regular-season matchups were the games to tune in to? Well, that hasn’t been the case so far this season. Nevertheless, Draymond Green will be ready to go (as always) and I’d expect one of the greatest defenders the NBA has ever seen to find a way to record at least one steal.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Orlando Magic

(John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports)

The buzz around the Portland Trail Blazers is way down since their hot start to the season. Unsurprisingly, the buzz around Jusuf Nurkic is low, as well. He’s scored 14 or fewer points in seven of the last games but has made up for it with some monstrous rebounding games, including back-to-back 18-plus rebound games over his last two outings. Nurkic grabbing over 11.5 rebounds feels like a safe bet.

LA Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks

Luke Doncic does incredible things on the basketball court. He also always does incredible things against the Clippers, who he’ll face tonight in Los Angeles. Although the Clips have repeatedly gotten the best of the Mavs in the playoffs, there’s been no answer for Doncic. If history means anything when betting, he should be able to get to 33 points without a problem.
