The Boston Celtics made the trip to the Amway Center Arena to play the Orlando Magic and Rookie of the Year candidate Paolo Banchero after a road win against the Miami Heat the night before. The Celtics ended their evening with a hard-fought win after a sloppy start and a cold-shooting night from star shooting guard Jaylen Brown and veteran point guard Marcus Smart, who combined to shoot 6-of-27 from the floor.
A 40-piece from superstar forward Jayson Tatum and Derrick White’s best game yet as a Celtic (27 points) got the job done against a scrappy and determined Magic squad trying their hardest not to lose on their home court.
