'NBA 2K19' Player Ratings And Render: D'Angelo Russell's Render Revealed And Compared To 'NBA 2K18'

The point guards are coming in droves now. Brooklyn Nets guard D’Angelo Russell is the latest player to have his overall rating revealed in NBA 2K19. Russell checks in with an 83 overall.

D’Angelo Russell in NBA 2K19

Russell didn’t have a huge year in 2017-19 for the Nets, so the 83 would seemingly make sense considering his is the lowest overall rating of any of the players whose mark has been revealed. In the 2017-18 season, Russell averaged 15.5 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds. His shooting dipped from the three-point line. The previous year Russell made 35 percent of his threes, but last year he converted on only 32 percent.

Considering Russell will likely be the highest-rated player on the Nets roster to start the season, good luck to the brave souls and/or loyal Brooklyn fans who choose the squad in Play Now Online, MyGm or MyLeague.

That said, the render is phenomenal. Last years was really good, but this is a noticeable improvement. Here is a look at the two renders side-by-side:

On a downside, 2K still couldn’t obtain the rights to use his tattoos. Russell isn’t a player with a lot of muscular definition, so that wasn’t needed, and it’s a good thing he was given unnecessary bulk. Instead, Russell’s render was enhanced with more realistic hair (on his head and face), a better complexion and the persistent sweat improvement.

There should be a few more ratings and renders showing up next week along with our first game mode blogs as well. Stay tuned, the information is likely about to start to roll in on a near-daily basis.
