Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell received a nice upgrade in NBA 2K19.

Not only did Mitchell’s overall jump to an 87 overall after a stellar rookie campaign, he was also given a more accurate render. Take a look at the comparison image below that shows his NBA 2K18 render in a similar pose as the one that was unveiled on Wednesday.

The complexion is almost the same although the NBA 2K19 image looks a little more vivid. However, I’m not sure either model is quite muscular enough. Mitchell has pretty broad shoulders, but that doesn’t appear to be represented in either model. Aside from that, 2K19 has the virtual sweat glands on fleek as the Mitchell render looks as if he’s happily nervous or like he’s been caught in the rain, and he’s perfectly fine with his circumstances.
All kidding aside, the hair textures are noticeably improved and the overall sharpness of the visuals is undeniable. I’d rank this visual upgrade third of the four we’ve seen so far. Mitchell was preceded by LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. To see each of those click the link attached to their names.
