She pulled up her dress while her underwear was around her thigh in a bid to facilitate the racy interaction.

They also locked lips and there were several audible moans during the display.

Other partygoers were spotted walking and sitting nearby as the couple continued to embrace.

Curious onlookers who were sitting just metres away quizzed the pair who were in the throes of passion and asked “are you having a good time there bud?”

They also shouted several words of encouragement such as “give it to her” and “go on, you mad thing”.

At the end of the couple’s impromptu hook-up, punters asked: “Is that all?”

Each year, up to 40,000 love-deprived singletons head west for the small town’s world-famous match-making festival to find their soulmate.

The Lisdoonvarna Match-Making Festival, which began more than 160 years ago, takes place during the month of September in the town’s pubs, restaurants and hotels.

Singletons can enjoy days of singing and dancing or meeting with third-generation and famous Irish matchmaker Willie Daly in his office at the Matchmaker Bar.

This year’s festival began on September 2 and will end on September 30.

The gardai said they were aware of the video.

A spokesman said: “Gardai are aware of a video circulating on social media of an alleged incident in Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare between Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2022.

“Gardai are conducting enquiries into the matter.”
