NatWest has announced it is closing another 23 branches in 2023. They are in addition to 43 closures already announced for this year.
The bank said the decision was taken because of customers moving to online and mobile banking. The closures are scheduled to take place from April to June.
It comes after TSB announced it was shutting nine bank branches and Lloyds and Halifax said they will shut another 40 sites this year after a previous announcement about 14 closures.
HSBC has also said it is closing 114 bank branches in 2023. The figure represents around a quarter of its total sites, the Mirror reports.
