NatWest has revealed its plans to close 23 branches across the country, adding to the dozens of high street bank closures that have already been announced this month. Lloyds, TSB and Barclays are among the big names that have announced closures since the year began.
The bank said it will shut down 21 sites in England and two in Wales. According to NatWest, some of the locations include Frome, Boorle, Stroud, and Blackpool with the sites closing between late April and the beginning of June. The dates that branches in Horwich and Shoreham-by-Sea will close are yet to be announced.
It comes just weeks after Lloyds Banking Group announced it would close 40 Halifax and Lloyds sites in England and Wales.

The latest announcement means that 87 branches have been targeted for closure by high street banks so far this year. In October, Natwest announced plans to close 43 branches, adding to the 15 which were announced in May and 21 announced in February.
