Nottingham Forest played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Goodison Park against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Brennan Johnson bagged his first goal of the campaign just under 10 minutes from time, before Demarai Gray rescued a late point. The Toffees are yet to secure a win while the Reds were unfortunate to not seal their second successive triumph after beating West Ham.
With that in mind, here is what the national press made of the result and performance...

Back in the top flight after a 23-year absence, it is going to be a season of notable moments for Nottingham Forest and they were on the verge of a first Premier League away win since 1999 until it was clinically snatched away on Merseyside.
Steve Cooper still harboured aspirations of making it as a player with Wrexham the last time these sides met in the Premier League at Goodison, when Ron Atkinson picked up his first win as Forest manager that same year.
Cooper spent the majority of his playing days at Bangor City but, after switching to coaching aged 27, has instead shown his managerial ability and, backed by £140m of signings, will expect to stay in the top division.

Nottingham Forest had just won their first Premier League away point since 1999 but their manager, Steve Cooper, walked into a silent, deflated dressing room at Goodison Park. His players’ post-match reaction was another sign of his team’s rapid progress.
The raucous Forest faithful were in the midst of telling the ex-Derby manager Frank Lampard he was getting sacked in the morning when their other target, the former Leicester winger Demarai Gray, pounced on a superb Jordan Pickford pass to rescue Everton’s first point of the season in the 88th minute. Brennan Johnson had put the visitors on the cusp of a second successive league win seven minutes earlier and, but for a late defensive lapse, they would have condemned Everton to a damaging third consecutive defeat.
Amid Forest’s disappointment, however, was an encouraging performance in which the club’s record signing, Morgan Gibbs-White, impressed as a second half substitute. Cooper rightly embraced the positives. "It was a poor goal to concede, we shouldn’t concede a goal like that at this level, but let’s not lose sight of all the good things we did."
The Daily Mail, Joe Bernstein
For Forest, it was further evidence that they are going to be competitive on their return to the Premier League after 23 years away.
Manager Steve Cooper have signed 16 players in the window and the latest and most expensive, Morgan Gibbs-White, looked impressive after coming off the bench for his debut. To put their rise into context, Everton were one of the teams that fancied Gibbs-White but he chose Forest, partly because he played for England under-17s under Cooper and won the World Cup.
Both managers had reasons to be pleased with their showing. Goalkeepers Pickford and Henderson were kept busy throughout. ‘We should have won. We were the better team,’ argued Cooper.

A late Brennan Johnson goal looked to have clinched all three points for Forest, before Gray raced onto a long ball from Jordan Pickford in the 88th minute to salvage an unlikely share of the spoils.
Johnson's 81st-minute strike, the product of debatable goalkeeping from Pickford who could only parry Ryan Yates' initial shot, heaped yet more pressure on Everton as they looked set to slump to their third consecutive defeat of the campaign.
Forest boss Steve Cooper, in contrast to Lampard's condemnation, rightly embraced the positives - having just won the club's first top-flight away point since 1999 - concluding that his side were "much the better team."
