A National Lottery player in Co Kildare is officially kicking-off their weekend as Ireland’s newest millionaire following Friday night’s EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ draw.
Last night was the fourth and final draw of the special raffle which made four brand new millionaires in Ireland over the month of August.
The winning ticket worth €1 million was won by a player in Kildare who purchased their ticket online or through the National Lottery App.

Typically, in every single EuroMillions draw, ten players in Ireland win €5,000 on the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’. In last night’s draw, an additional €1 million was added to the special raffle draw and among those ten winners of €5,000, one of those winners won an additional €1 million.

It was a big night for Irish winners in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw which saw over 66,000 players in Ireland win prizes. Among those prize winners was a Dublin player who matched 5 numbers and the bonus to scoop €143,631. The winning quick pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw in Spar 290 Ballyfermot Road, Dublin 10.
A National Lottery spokesperson said, “What a night it was for the Irish in last night’s EuroMillions draw. Somebody in Co. Kildare could be waking up to the fact that they are Ireland’s latest EuroMillions millionaire.
"We are asking all our online players to check their National Lottery accounts and tickets very carefully today as they will have received a notification and an email to inform them of their prize.
"Additionally, we are also asking our Dublin players to check their tickets to see if they are the winners of the match 5 plus prize worth bonus worth €143,631. Both players in Kildare and Dublin should contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.”
There was no winner of the €101,607,332 jackpot on offer, which now rolls to a staggering €110 Million next Tuesday 30th August.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
