More than 100 people have won £4,500 on The National Lottery - just hours before Christmas. The 'must win' jackpot of £15 million was unclaimed by one single ticket, meaning the prize money trickled down.
No ticket-holders matched all six main numbers or five out of six and the bonus ball to bag the top two prizes, Camelot said. But 105 players each won £4,595 after matching five of the six numbers.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “It’s amazing news for more than 1.8 million Lotto players who have each won £5 plus a free Lucky Dip for matching just two main numbers in tonight’s fantastically festive £15 million Lotto ‘must be won’ draw. On top of this, 189,522 ticket-holders each scooped £56, instead of £30, for matching just three main numbers. As no ticket-holder won the jackpot, the prize is shared between all the other winners.”
Some 7,733 players won £193 for matching four of the six main numbers. The winning Lotto numbers were 01, 08, 14, 46, 49, 59 and the bonus number was 19.
Set of balls two and draw machine Guinevere were used. Wednesday’s estimated jackpot now stands at £2 million.
One player matched all five numbers to win the Lotto HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, claiming the top prize of £350,000. The winning Thunderball numbers were 10, 11, 17, 25, 36 and the Thunderball was 14.
No ticket-holders scooped the £500,000 top prize by matching five numbers and the Thunderball, while one player won £5,000 by matching five numbers.
