National Lottery jackpot split between more than a million players as no one matches every number

The £11.6 million "must-win" lottery prize was split by over a million players tonight (April 2). It comes as not one ticket matched all of tonight's numbers.

A total of 64 ticket-holders matched five numbers to win £6,079 each, 4,855 ticket-holders matched four numbers to win £219 each and 123,261 ticket-holders matched three numbers to win £67 each. Some 1,273,898 ticket-holders matched two numbers to win £5 and a Free Lotto Lucky Dip.

The winning Lotto numbers were 22, 24, 27, 30, 52, 57 – and the bonus number was 20. Set of balls 11 and draw machine Guinevere were used.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, was left delighted for the winners. He said: “It’s amazing news for 1.2 million Lotto players who have won £5 plus a free Lucky Dip for matching just two main numbers in tonight’s £11.6 million Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ draw.

“On top of this,123,261 ticket-holders scooped £67, instead of £30, for matching just three main numbers. As no ticket-holder won the jackpot, the prize is shared between all the other winners.”

No-one matched all five numbers to win the £350,000 top prize in Lotto HotPicks. The game uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw.

There were also no winners of the Thunderball top prize of £500,000. The winning Thunderball numbers were 11, 22, 23, 32, 35 – and the Thunderball was 13. The estimated jackpot for Wednesday is £2 million.
