National Lottery issues apology to players as draw 'glitches'

The National Lottery issued an apology to Lotto players after the draw suffered a glitch.

The draw, which is aired live on YouTube, seemed to have a delayed start. Eventually the numbers came out with the main six numbers being called as normal.

However, the Bonus Ball was not announced. It also wasn't shown when the numbers were displayed in ascending order.

The first ball also appeared blank on the round up. It left players questioning the draw in the live chat, with others demanding a redraw.

Charlotte said: "Lotto messed up." Derry said: "Redraw that should be."

Zoya said: "Needs to be redrawn." Keisha said: "How is that possible where’s the bonus ball?" Meanwhile, Charlotte said: "Lotto messed up…"

A Camelot spokesperson told the Liverpool ECHO: "Due to a technical issue with tonight's Lotto draw live stream, incorrect graphics were displayed. Please be assured this didn't affect the Lotto draw itself, which was conducted in front of an independent adjudicator, as always. We apologise for any inconvenience."

The winning numbers were later announced, including the Bonus Ball - you can check them here.
