One lucky winner has claimed a massive £3.8million National Lottery jackpot today.
The draw, from Saturday May 28, was claimed by the single ticket holder who finally came forward and scooped the life-changing amount.
Camelot UK Lotteries confirmed the lucky winner had come forward and that they were now going through the process of validation.
Once that’s done, the ticket-holder will decide whether they want to go public with the win or not.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We’re delighted this amazing Lotto jackpot prize has now been claimed.
"Our focus is now on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.
“It’s been an incredible couple of months for Lotto players with an amazing 30 millionaires made in April and May.”
As things stand, it has not yet been released whether one person or a group brought the winning ticket, or where it was purchased from.
This information will only be released if the winner or winners decide to go public.
If they go public they could follow in the footsteps of record Euromillion jackpot winners Joe and Jess Thwaite.
The Gloucestershire couple went public after scooping a massive £184,262,899.10, making them the UK's richest ever National Lottery winners.
They said the inspiration behind their win was Jess' late father who regularly used to play the lottery and after a week of thinking decided to go public.
Whilst today's winner is taking home a smaller jackpot, it remains a life-changing sum of money.
Despite waiting nearly two weeks, today's winner finally emerged to claim their money.
This comes after June started with a bang as a massive £20million Lotto jackpot prize, from the special Jubilee 'Must Be Won' draw was won by one lucky Brit.
However, the jackpot, which was drawn on Saturday June 4, is yet to be claimed as it approaches nearly a week since.
