Another week of Senior Bowl action is officially in the books, as a week of practice culminated in Saturday’s all-star game, with the National squad taking home a 27-10 over the American team in Mobile, Alabama.
Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener led the way for the National side, completing 12 of his 19 pass attempts for 139 yards and a touchdown on his way to being named Senior Bowl MVP.
After a 37-yard pick-six by Virginia defensive back Anthony Johnson cut the National’s lead to just 10 points early in the fourth quarter, Haener found Stanford wide receiver Michael Wilson for a 44-yard touchdown strike to put the game away.
Wilson led all receivers on the day with 76 yards and a score on four receptions, while Northwestern running back Evan Hull topped the rushing charts with 74 yards on just 10 carries, also for the National side.
