Nation’s No. 1 athlete visiting Georgia football

Five-star athlete Brandon Arrington, a 6-foot, 180-pound standout from Mount Miguel High School in La Mesa, California, is a highly coveted blue-chip prospect. Bulldogs cornerbacks coach Donte Williams, a respected and well-connected figure on the West Coast, visited Arrington at his home Sunday night. The meeting went smoothly, and as a result, the No. 8 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings has officially scheduled his first visit to Athens.

Arrington will be at Oregon this weekend. He is eyeing a visit to Nebraska or USC on Feb. 1. Texas A&M is a strong contender in the race as well. Georgia has entered this race and he is now ready to see Athens for the first time.

“Georgia is in the mix because they have a great program and they do very well with California athletes,” Arrington said to On3. “Me and coach Donte (Williams) have a great relationship too, so that is another reason I like Georgia.”

Georgia needs to land more elite athletes like Arrington.
