Nathan Patterson has detailed the key similarities between Rangers and Everton fans as he looked back on a year away from home.
The Scotland international made the switch to the English Premier League from the Light Blues last January for a big money fee and after taking time to break into the team he found himself as a key player under Frank Lampard and gained high praise from fans and pundits alike for his performances including the derby against Liverpool.
Injuries have played a part this season on Merseyside as new boss Sean Dyche and the Toffees fight for survival. The former Rangers kid is part of Steve Clarke's upcoming squad for the Euro qualifiers against Cyprus and Spain and he'll hope he can star in those games and take that form back down the road for the crucial run in.

Speaking to Everton club media on his time at the club and how fans north and south of the border compare, he explained: "It has been great. It has been a different challenge moving down and moving away from home, especially alone. But I have enjoyed it and they have taken me under their wing straight away.
"I am looking forward to kicking on. It is quite similar, both fans are very passionate and they really love their club, you can tell from the way that they cheer you on.
"You want to go and give them something to cheer about. You can see that and every week we are going to get a travelling support and home games are always a sell-out.
"It is great to have that backing, especially in derbies. The fans are unbelievable down here."
