Wolves centre-back Nathan Collins was sent off for an awful challenge on Jack Grealish during their 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday.
The Ireland star badly mistimed a challenge on the England international when lunging for a bouncing ball.
Contact was made on Grealish's thigh, and the referee immediately showed Collins a straight red card.
Grealish, a former Ireland underage star, received medical attention before recovering to play on.
It was the icing on a terrible first half for Wolves. Grealish opened the scoring within the first minute when turning home a Kevin De Bruyne cross.
And it was 2-0 within 16 minutes when Erling Haaland continued his sensational form with another goal.
Phil Foden completed a 3-0 victory for the league leaders with a second half goal.
Collins is playing in his debut season for Wolves and has started every Premier League game after a £20.5 million switch from Burnley.
