Nate Diaz has called for the UFC to stop slowing his pursuit of Dustin Poirier and make the fight happen.
The American star has just one fight remaining on his current deal with the promotion and is looking to fight Poirier, who was defeated by Charles Oliveira in their title fight.
Diaz and Poirier verbally agreed a deal to face each other on social media but Diaz has since dismissed Poirier's claim that a date has been confirmed by the company.
He continued his pursuit of Poirier issuing an ultimatum to the promotion, tweeting: "UFC stop playing with me, consider this my signature to fight this f*****. I have been trying to fight for a minute. Quit slowing down the real fight game it’s time."
The pair have been going back-and-forth about a potential welterweight clash since Poirier missed his opportunity to become lightweight champion in December.
With talks ongoing the UFC allegedly gave the go ahead for the fight to take place at UFC 270 or UFC 271, but the date drew closer and no update was given on the progress.
Reports then claimed that the fight has been shelved by the company despite UFC president Dana White admitting the possibility of staging a fight for the pair remains equal.
"Yeah, of course, we're interested, White told ESPN. "This is what we do.
"We make fights every weekend. What happens is guys want to jump out of nowhere and say, 'I want to do this. I want to do that.' We have fights booked all the way until I want to say May 2 right now.
"Everything is in place, everything is done. I say this all the time. I've been saying this for 20 years. We're contracted to get guys fights three times a year. They've got to get fights. We'll get a fight."
Poirier recently use Diaz's famous call out of Conor McGregor in 2015 to continue to heat up the potential of an octagon meeting.

Diaz was defeated by Leon Edwards at UFC 263 in June and has yet to compete in the cage since that date.
Poirier could find any meeting with Diaz tough as he continues to bulk up ahead of a maiden appearance at welterweight.
Unbeaten rising UFC star Nick Maximov, who has trained with Diaz for several years, has warned Poirier that he could struggle if his conditioning is not improved ahead of any potential bout.
"I think [Dustin Poirier's] biggest weakness is his gas tank from his last fight," Maximov told SportsKeeda MMA. "I think he relies a lot on power.
"He's a good boxer and he's technical and he's pretty strategic. But man, he relies so much on his power and he doesn't have much of a gas tank.
"If you're fighting Nate, that could be really rough."
