Nate Diaz issues damning verdict on Darren Till's third successive UFC defeat

Nate Diaz was unimpressed by Darren Till's latest UFC loss, joking that the Scouse fighter "sucks" after tapping out in the third round to Dricus Du Plessis.

Diaz, who once fought for world honours at lightweight, left the promotion earlier this year after fighting out his contract, and is now weighing up his options. But he is still a keen fan of combat sports, and was watching as Till was defeated on the undercard of UFC 282 in Las Vegas.

Diaz and Till don't seem to have a previously bad relationship, although their teams were involved in a brawl on the eve of the press conference for his final fight at UFC 279. Till was in Las Vegas to support teammate Khamzat Chimaev, who was due to fight Diaz until he missed weight by over half-a-stone and the main event had to be hastily rearranged.

And it appears that Diaz is still unimpressed by Till, posting an Instagram story watching the fight with the caption "Damn, Till sucks". Fans also noticed the ex-UFC star hid another subliminal dig in at the Brit, posting the video with the song 'B**** A** N****z' by Dr Dre attached with the Instagram Music tag.

Till was completely dominated in the first round by Du Plessis, who peppered him with big shots and almost had the fight finished at multiple points. He managed to just about survive into the second, and appeared to gain the upper hand as it looked like the South African had punched himself out.

However, Till claims to have pulled his ACL at one point during his comeback in the fight, and he was unable to maintain his momentum into the third. He was again taken down and he quickly tapped to a rear naked choke after being caught with minutes to go in the final stanza.

The Scouse fighter has since vowed to take some time away from the sport, saying in an Instagram video: "You don't always get what you want in this life. Been at the top of this sport since 2017. I'm not retiring. I'm 29 and that would be stupid to retire. But I'm on a losing streak at the moment.

"It's crazy because when I'm in the gym sparring with all the best guys around the world, I'm in my element but when I step in the octagon I cant seem to put things together. Whether you love me or hate me, I'm sorry, I try to put a show on, I cut no corners."
