Nate Diaz has long been one of the most popular fighters in UFC history and Saturday night in Las Vegas he showed once again why fans love him so much as he choked out Tony Ferguson in the fourth round of their fight at UFC 279 and celebrated his win in classic Diaz fashion – flexing while still having Ferguson in his grasp.
Diaz, who said after the fight that he wants to try another sport (likely boxing) before possibly coming back to the UFC for more battles in the Octagon, looked to have won the first three rounds in close fashion. Then in the fourth they went to the ground for the first time and it was quickly over with a Diaz locking in a guillotine choke that led to Ferguson tapping out.
