Nate Berkus swears by this simple organizing solution in his home – and we wish we bought one sooner

Nate Berkus

A seamless organization system is important in every home, but none more so than Nate Berkus'. The designer lives in a West Village apartment with his husband (and fellow television counterpart) Jeremiah Brent and their two children. Navigating young family living - in a compact urban space – daily - is no easy feat, but one clever organizer makes it easier.

'Nothing drives me crazier than not being able to find what I need,' Nate says while introducing us to the Divided Turntable Organizer. He uses it in both his pantry and laundry room. Both of which, he says, are his two 'must-have places' for the product in question.

Firstly, the designer demonstrates how he uses the turntable to organize a pantry. 'I love that you can maximize the space on your shelves and you can get to every product that you need,' he says via Instagram. 'The thing I like most about this is the weight. This isn’t going to go anywhere… it’s the way it’s designed. It has ball bearings, too, so it’s super smooth.'

In the footage, Nate shows off the turntable organizer using pantry goods, but as he mentioned, it's equally useful in organizing a laundry room

'I use this in the cabinet in our laundry room because it drives me crazy... I can’t stand moving things around and looking for them. So, it’s detergent, bleach, and then all the sprays you need when you have filthy children.'

This rotating organizer is just one of many pieces designed by Nate to make organization easier. After announcing his partnership with mDesign, he sat down exclusively with H&G to share exactly how he keeps his home tidy, and, unsurprisingly, it comes down to products from the collection.

'For me, the organization is the foundation of a life well lived,' he says. 'That layer of organization, that feeling of accomplishment when you look through your things... and then when you have the product to house all of those things, it shifts the way we move through our homes.'

And while the Divided Turntable Organizer has a place in his laundry room and pantry, Nate recommends his clear bins (also available on Amazon) for other rooms around your home.

So far, we've observed huge demand for pretty much everything from Nate Home, with some of our favorite pieces selling out fast.
