Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia has revealed that her ex husband was the 'love of her life' ten years after they split.
She was married to the Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, 42, between 2003 and 2008 but has kept that part of her life very private.
However, she has now opened up about the marriage and break up in a the Spotify podcast, Who Is Daniel Johns?
The podcast talks about Daniel's troubled life and Natalie says that she now looks back on the relationship 'fondly'.
Natalie said: "He was the love of my life and I think in time you realise that's a really special thing and you look back on it fondly, and it doesn't come around that often that you can both feel that way about each other...
"It's not something that is necessarily repeatable in that way. It's a beautiful thing."
The star also mentioned that they went through a 'difficult' time and she remembers trying to get the relationship 'back on track'.
However, she said that the couple found themselves without a way through the difficult times.
The pair met at an awards show in 1999 and tied the knot four years later in a beach wedding in Queensland.
But they then became the subject of split rumours due to their long distance relationship and the fact that Daniel didn't thank his wife when he collected Silverchair's five gongs at the ARIA Awards in October 2007.
Daniel recently said that the pair didn't work out because they wanted different things.
He said: "She wanted to settle down and have babies and she wanted to do normal stuff and I just wanted to get weirder, so we just kind of disappeared from each other."
He went on to say that she taught him to be a man as they met when he was just 19.
When they split up they released a joint statement in January 2008 that said: "While we are very sad that our marriage has ended, we want to make it clear that our parting is amicable and we remain friends.
"This mutual decision has not been taken lightly or quickly. However, our career demands and our lives in different parts of the world have brought us to the point where unfortunately this difficult decision was necessary for both of us."
Daniel spoke on The Project where he said they are now friends despite not speaking for ten years.
He said: "When we were married, I was in my twenties. I was incapable of learning how to be responsible. I didn't know how to use a phone. I was touring all the time."
Natalie has been linked to a series of celebs such as Prince Harry, Harry Styles and David Schwimmer.
She welcomed her first child back in October 2019, named Max who she had via IVF and a sperm donor.
Daniel was last reportedly linked to model Michelle Leslie as well as engagement rumours in 2019 but the pair have since split.
