Former England Test captain Nasser Hussain has urged bosses to 'pick all the batters' and go for broke as the country possess a depth of talent other country's can't rival.
England begin their assault on the T20 Cricket World Cup on Saturday when they face Afghanistan in Perth. Selectors have a 15-man squad to select from and Hussain has urged them not to leave any batters out.
Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone or even Ben Stokes could all miss out as the matchday line-up is reduced to 11 players. Hussain, who was England Test captain for four years, has urged bosses to select seven batsman and go 'ballistic'.
"I would pick all the batters, which probably means playing Livingstone at seven," said Hussain in his column for the Daily Mail .
"In the early days of T20 the stats told you it was a position hardly worth worrying about because the number seven faced so few balls. But having batting depth means England can go ballistic all the way through.
"They have a safety valve, with a batter at seven, of a very long middle order. It is depth that Pakistan, for instance, do not have, so Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have to bat more carefully because 20 overs is a long time for them."

Despite being a key player for England, Stokes missed the recent seven-match T20I series in Pakistan due to family reasons. Hussain expects the all-rounder to step up during the crunch matches at the T20 World Cup.
He added: "England are trying to find the best role for Stokes, which is understandable with such a key player. His international T20 record is not as great as his Test and ODI ones, but he has excelled in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals and I would bat him at four now.
"When it comes down to the business end of tournaments or Tests, Stokes is superb with the bat at thinking his way through pressure situations and rising to the occasion."
