Welcome to the 77th NASCAR Cup Series season, kicking off with the 67th running of the Daytona 500. What you'll want to know going into Sunday's race: This year's field for the 200-lapper features eight former winners of the race and nine NASCAR Cup Series champions, with drivers on the grid representing the countries of US, Mexico, New Zealand and Brazil — who are also all running with Trackhouse Racing. Leading the field for the first time in history is a Toyota, with Chase Briscoe behind the wheel, and bringing up the rear (at 41st) is four-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, rookie (to NASCAR) Helio Castroneves. The defending Daytona 500 champion, William Byron, starts in fifth. And because of the week of on-track chaos leading up to the "Great American Race," eight drivers will fall to the back, having resorted to utilizing their backup cars.
Now for your spotter's guide — a look at all the new paint schemes and where every driver is starting for the exciting season-opener at Daytona.
