Renowned NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, aged 95, watched the recent lunar touchdown with great interest. Aldrin, famously known for his historic moonwalk alongside Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, extended his congratulations to the team behind the successful mission.

Firefly CEO Jason Kim expressed his awe at Aldrin's acknowledgment, describing it as 'pretty amazing.'

The lunar landing, achieved by FireFly Aerospace's Blue Ghost on Mission 1, was met with excitement and praise. The momentous event not only signifies a significant achievement for the company but also marks a new chapter in the collaboration between NASA and private space entities.

This successful mission is a part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program, which aims to foster partnerships with private space companies to facilitate lunar exploration and research.
