Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli believes Liverpool "seem to be struggling" after picking up just nine points in the Premier League out of a possible 18. The Reds will take on Napoli in Italy on Wednesday in the opening match in the Champions League.
The Italian side and Liverpool have a history of playing each other in Europe's elite competition in recent years with Jurgen Klopp's side yet to record a win at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Liverpool and Napoli have been drawn alongside Dutch champions Ajax and Europa League finalists Rangers in group A as they look to make it four finals in the Champions League under Klopp.

The two sides last met in Naples in 2019 with the home side beating Liverpool, who were the reigning champions, 2-0. Giuntoli is expecting another tough game on Wednesday night.
"It’s a tough game even if we won the last two meetings. Right now, they seem to be struggling, but they’ve changed something and it’s going to be a difficult game for both,” Giuntoli told Radio Kiss Kiss, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.
After taking on Napoli, Liverpool will take on Ajax the following week in their opening Champions League at Anfield.
