Naomi Campbell's, 53, ultra rare comments on motherhood after 'gift from God' son

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, 53, announced on Thursday evening that she had recently welcomed her second child – a beautiful baby boy.

Sharing the news with her 15.2 million Instagram followers, she wrote: “My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence.

“A True Gift from God, blessed! Welcome Babyboy.” At the end, she added: “It’s never too late to become a mother.”

The little one will be a sibling for the daughter Naomi welcomed in May 2021.

Despite being one of the most recognisable models in the world, Naomi managed to keep news of her first child a closely guarded secret too.

The star announced on Instagram that she had welcomed her first baby.

Again posting the wonderful news on social media, she wrote: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.

“So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”

Sharing just a few photos of the tot on social media, the superstar gave a rare insight into her life during an interview with fashion bible Vogue when her daughter was nine months old.

Naomi put an end to feverish speculation as she insisted the baby was not adopted.

"She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child," confirmed the star, as she showed off her daughter's face for the time in a stunning family photoshoot.

Appearing on the cover, Naomi looked flawless as she showed off her daughter, complete with exquisite chunky legs and arms and an amazing head of jet black hair.

Conducting the interview while at 40,000 feet on a transatlantic flight, the supermodel heaped praise on her little girl revealing that she was a good sleeper, enjoys travelling like her mum and hardly ever cries.

Sharing more touching details, Naomi revealed that at nine months her daughter was learning to wave, had six teeth and at the rate she was going would be walking before she crawled.

The 53-year-old proudly added that she had been told her baby girl was “very alert for her age”.

After the birth of her first child, eagle-eyed fans noted that the supermodel had walked the catwalk at New York Fashion Week without any sign of a baby bump.

However, in a previous interview four years prior, The Face host discussed how thanks to advances in science she had the opportunity to start a family 'whenever she wants'.

In an effort to protect her children from the public glare, the mum-of-two has also decided to keep her children’s names private.

In fact, prior to having her first child, Naomi says that she could count on one hand the number of people who knew that she was expecting her.

Naomi, along with Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington, are considered the ‘Big Six’ supermodels and shaped the face of fashion.

Growing up, Naomi split her time between Rome and London as her mother, Valerie Morris-Campbell, was a dancer in Italy and the youngster considered her grandmother’s house in Streatham, south London.

The youngster attended the prestigious Barbara Speake Stage School in Acton, west London, until she was 12, where she had elocution lessons in addition to dance and drama.

Revealing she was brought up “communally” by all her family with lots of aunts and cousins who helped to chaperone her as a teenager when her modelling career took off.

Her adoring Jamaican grandmother, the family’s matriarch, taught Naomi how to cook and clean and have routine, something she’s keen to instill in her own children.

Speaking to Vogue, she said: “I would come home from school and have to wash my dancewear, clean my shoes.

“I think discipline is important. I had that and I will be the same.” Congratulations to Naomi!
