Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) claimed she "teared up" after previewing President Donald Trump's upcoming primetime address to Congress, predicting that the speech would stir strong emotions across the nation.

In an interview with Fox Business on Monday, Mace expressed her admiration for Trump's speech, saying she had previewed parts of it during a visit to Mar-a-Lago over the weekend.

The representative described the address as deeply moving, predicting that Americans would laugh and cry.

"I spent some time with the president—a little bit of time this weekend with the president at Mar-a-Lago. I've heard parts of the speech," Mace said. "And I will tell you, I teared up at one point. I think we will all laugh, we will all cry, and we will question what the heck has been going on the last four years."

Trump is set to deliver a highly anticipated speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, treating it as an unofficial State of the Union address, as reported by the Daily Beast.

The president's remarks are expected to highlight his administration's latest initiatives, including a controversial cost-cutting task force led by billionaire Elon Musk, mass deportation plans and sweeping tariffs that have recently impacted the stock market.

Following Trump's address, Democrats will deliver multiple rebuttals, including an official response from Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and separate statements in Spanish, and from the progressive Working Families Party.

Additionally, some lawmakers are expected to host town halls to address concerns from constituents affected by Trump's policies.
