Republican Rep. Nancy Mace's former political consultant publicly criticized her behavior and revealed he dropped her as a client due to her not "[having] time for her constant egotistical bulls**t."
Mace, a two-term congresswoman from South Carolina, has recently attracted significant attention for her provocative public persona, including a crusade against transgender rights in Congress, according to LGBTQ Nation.
Concretely, she introduced a resolution to bar transgender individuals from using restrooms corresponding to their gender identity at the Capitol.
Her behavior has also led to clashes with fellow Republicans, among them former Rep. Trey Gowdy, and has been described as attention-seeking by former staff members.
Wesley Donehue, CEO of Push Digital, took to X to publicly communicate that he had severed ties with Mace.
In a series of scathing posts, he accused Mace of being emotionally unstable, prioritizing media attention over governance, and engaging in unnecessary intraparty conflicts.
"I fired Nancy Mace as client a few months back because I'm a political consultant and not a babysitter, a sex therapist or a doctor who can prescribe fixes for chemical imbalances," Donehue wrote. "I don't have time for her constant egotistical bulls**t and drama in my life."

Donehue's remarks came after Mace made a controversial comment questioning Gowdy's gender in the context of a debate about transgender rights.
Donehue continued writing posts aimed at Mace, who did not respond.
"It's seems that I hurt Nancy's feelings. Can't wait for her to throw that victim card down again. It's really her only play. A pitiful embarrassment to the South Carolina Lowcountry," Donehue said before concluding his diagnosis," Donehue wrote. "I'll stop piling on. I've been worried about Nancy Mace for a while now. Mental health is a serious issue. I want her to get better and seek treatment."
