A nan said she will never be the same after she was attacked by a dog outside her home.
On Wednesday, May, 17 Agnes O'Hare claims she was attacked by a neighbour's dog after she went to the house, on Ash Vale in Wavertree, to deliver some post. However when the door was opened she claims the neighbour's dog ran out and started to maul her leg.
Agnes, aged 89, was unable to get the dog off her leg and a passerby had to intervene and "kick it the face" to stop the attack. Her daughter Sharon Edwards has said her mum, who used to be mobile, is now bedbound and has to use a wheelchair after the dog "ripped her leg" open.
She has also told how her elderly mum is scared to go outside on her own, fearful she may be attacked again.

Sharon told the ECHO: "This dog ran out and ripped her leg open, she is in a really bad way. A lad over the road had to kick it off her before she fell to the floor.
"She was in so much distress and they had to stitch inside of the wound because the dog bit into the muscle in her leg. She is an 89 year-old-woman who is now practically bedbound. The dog is still at the premises now and my mum is on her last nerves."
Merseyside Police said it assessed the dog after the attack and found it to be a "legal breed and not dangerous." However, Sharon said that her mum is scared to go outside her home while the dog is still on the street.

The 56-year-old said: "She did not have to use a wheelchair before and she has not been the same woman since this happened. Having the dog next door is distressing her and if she wants to go out to the front of the house we have to be with her, she can't be left alone.
"She could walk around before but was not too good on her legs. The doctors have said her leg is going to take a long time to heal because of her age."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm we received a report of a dog injuring a woman in Wavertree on Wednesday, May 17. At around 7.15pm, it was reported that a dog had bitten a woman, who is aged in her 80s, on her leg and she sustained injuries.
"Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident and a specialist officer has since visited the home of the dog owner to carry out an assessment and it was found that the dog is a legal breed and is not dangerous."
